Arief has more than 14 years of experience in the legal industry, with a particular focus on banks and financial institutions. Throughout his career, he has held diverse roles as a corporate lawyer at a top-tier law firm, in-house counsel at a leading technology company and a commercial bank, and most recently as Senior Vice President of Legal at a publicly listed commercial bank in Indonesia prior to joining Trilexica. His diverse professional background enables him to approach legal issues from both private practice and in-house perspectives, combining technical legal expertise with commercial judgment and strategic insight. Arief is experienced in advising senior management and boards on complex legal matters that require not only legal analysis but also business-oriented solutions. Arief has extensive experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, including involvement in high-profile capital markets and M&A transactions across sectors. Beyond transactional work, Arief has significant experience in developing and executing commercial litigation strategies, advising clients and management on dispute positioning, risk assessment, enforcement options, and settlement approaches aligned with broader business objectives. He also has experience in regulatory advocacy, engaging with regulators and government authorities in relation to licensing, compliance, supervisory matters, and policy discussions.
